Katja
Weichler

Chief Operating Officer

Katja Weichler started as a consultant at Nagler & Company in 2003. In 2008, she moved to the BackOffice and managed the Human Resources department for many years. In her role as COO, Ms. Weichler is responsible for all internal processes. She represents the company in contractual and legal matters.

Ms. Weichler studied business law. She obtained her diploma at the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden.

Michael
Brinkmann

Bank Management, Risk Management and Capital Markets

Michael Brinkmann came to Nagler & Company in 2001 and currently runs the Munich office. He is a specialist in bank management, risk management and capital markets.

Michael Brinkmann received formal commercial banking training and studied business administration. He went on to work for Dresdner Bank in Berlin and Frankfurt for six years. He then switched to consulting, bringing his extensive knowledge of banking with him.

Florian
Eberlein

Market and Reference Data in the Context of Trading, Risk Management and Project Management

Florian Eberlein has worked for Nagler & Company since 2008. His areas of expertise – among others – are market and reference data in the context of trading and risk management as well as project management.

Mr. Eberlein had his first work experience while being a student as a self-employed software developer. After completing a master’s degree in industrial IT, he started working in the consulting business.

Ehlers

Process Optimisation, Risk Management and Capital Markets

Robert Ehlers joined Nagler & Company in 2000. As a Managing Director he has been in charge of our Swiss subsidiary Dr. Nagler & Company AG for nearly five years. He is a specialist in Process Optimisation, Risk Management and Capital Markets.

After his studies in Industrial Engineering, specialising in developing organisations and companies, he started working in financial industry consulting.

Thomas
Gebhard

Digitalization, Front Office Systems, Software Engineering and Test Automation

Thomas Gebhard has been with Nagler & Company since 2011. He is Managing Director of Dr. Nagler & Company Austria GmbH and is also responsible for the group-wide marketing. His areas of expertise lie in the fields of digitalization, front office systems, software engineering and test automation.

After he completed his studies with a degree in diploma engineer for software engineering and economy, Mr. Gebhard stepped directly into the consulting business, where he found his true passion. Mr. Gebhard has since completed the Global Executive  MBA Program at the University of Economics in Vienna, in cooperation with the Carlson School of Management in Minnesota.

Kratochwil

Risk Management and Advanced Analytics

Dr. Michael Kratochwil joined Nagler & Company in 2015. He has many years of experience in the domains of market and counterparty risk as well as in the management of implementation projects. His focus is the implementation of methods and processes in risk management as well as the implementation of the corresponding regulatory requirements. Furthermore, he is engaged in the application of advanced analytical approaches (Machine Learning / AI) in the areas of valuation and risk management.  

Dr. Kratochwil received his PhD from the Chair of Statistics and Risk Management at the University of Regensburg on new methodological approaches in counterparty risk. Before joining Nagler & Company, he worked for Commerzbank AG from 2008 to 2015 within the risk function and various projects.

Martin
Nagler

Managing Partner

Dr. Martin Nagler is the managing partner of Nagler & Company.

Since completing his degree in information technology at the University of Erlangen and earning a PhD for his research with databases, Dr. Nagler has worked exclusively in the finance sector. He began as a specialist consultant at the consulting firm BankBetriebsWirtschaft in Wiesbaden, a company that focuses on bank management and risk management. He then moved to Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt as divisional global director for IT in capital markets and asset management.

In 1998 Dr. Nagler took the major step of starting his own business and founded Nagler & Company, a company which today has German subsidiaries in Frankfurt, Munich and Schnaittenbach, as well as international subsidiaries in Graz, Vienna and Zurich. The firm’s focus lies on risk management, capital markets and market data.

Roland
Onderka

Risk Management, Market and Liquidity Risk, Operating Model Design and Optimization

Dr. Roland Onderka is head of the Risk & Analytics department at Nagler & Company.

His focal points are quantitive risk management, market and liquidity risk, operating model design and optimizations of risk and finance, data management, asset liability management and bank management.

Previously,  Mr. Onderka acted in different leading roles in the financial and consulting industry: as a senior manager for financial services at Ernst & Young, a department leader of liquidity risk management at Pfandbriefbank and head of financial engineering at Hypo Germany.

He started his professional career in 2002 as a consultant at Nagler & Company. Mr. Onderka studied physics at the University of Regensburg, with a further degree in the field of quantum chaos.

Johannes
Raab

Risk Management and Advanced Analytics

Dr. Johannes Raab started at Nagler & Company in 2014. He has many years of expertise in implementation-oriented consulting at the interface between business and IT. His focus is on business analysis and implementation of regulatory requirements. His main topics include in particular credit risk modeling, automated natural language processing (NLP) and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in risk management.

Dr. Raab received his PhD from the Department of Statistics and Risk Management at the University of Regensburg on the application of machine learning techniques in credit risk management (PD and rating modeling). He is a graduate of the Technical University of Munich in the Master of Technology and Management-oriented Business Administration.

Nikolas
Viets

Corporate Control, Risk-bearing Capacity and Treasury Management

Nikolas Viets has been part of our team since 2023. He is the managing director of Dr. Nagler & Company AG in Switzerland. Mr. Viets has been a management consultant for financial and risk management issues for more than 15 years. His core topics include risk bearing capacity, treasury and portfolio management as well as restructuring.

In addition to studies in economics and business administration, he has completed the Certified Corporate Treasurer VDT® training and is CFA Charterholder.
